Convert Notes Dates and Times to UTC format

This is a quick question to my Notes/Domino readers out there (yes, both of you!):

I'm doing a bit of work migrating some data out of Notes and into SQL databases at the moment. For all my Date/Time fields, they obviously need to be converted into UTC Dates before they're going to be compatiable with SQL inserts. I was sure the @Function language would have supported this by now, but it seems not! I know Mike Golding (of the now defunct Notestips.com) had a rather large piece of code which would do the job posted on his site, but for now I simply want to know whether the functionality exists buried somewhere deep within Notes that I've missed?

For my testing purposes I hastily threw together this code, which is good enough for now.

utcDateTime := @Text(@Year(@Created)) + "-" + @Right("0" + @Text(@Month(@Created)); 2) + "-" + @Right("0" + @Text(@Day(@Created)); 2) + " " + @Right("0" + @Text(@Hour(@Created)); 2) + ":" + @Right("0" + @Text(@Minute(@Created)); 2) + ":00.000"

# Convert Notes Dates and Times to UTC format

Look, I perfer to class myself as one of your .Net readers now, so I guess that's 1 :-p

But anyway.. Why do it in Notes world, wouldn't it be easier to convert it in C# ? or am I missing something blatantly obvious here ? I'm assuming your accessing the data from some sort of C# app to plug it into SQL, or are you pushing it in from Notes ?

# Convert Notes Dates and Times to UTC format

I'm throwing together a quick view containing a computed column which outputs a SQL insert script.

It seemed the quickest way to get a load of text only data out of Notes and into a SQL database. I'm actually thinking about creating some sort of 'generator' app to do this for a few databases, however really I think I'll just end up copying, pasting, and editing the view into all my source databases.

If I did end up writing a Notes app to do this then I can see a fair few people out there being vaugely interested. Even more so if I could work out a way to nicely deal with Rich Text 30

Have you got any other suggestions for data migration?

I've just ran a quick test export, and it runs pretty nicely. A bit of data tidying up here and there, but the final result is pretty good.

(Doesn't help when you're staring at an @Function for 15 minutes wondering what the hell is wrong with it, only to finally notice that you've automatically separated the parameters with commas instead of semi colons)
